The Hunterdon Art Tour (THAT) is an annual self-guided tour of Hunterdon County, NJ artists’ studios. It includes an artist-supported exhibition, sale and Tour opening at the Hunterdon Art Museum in Clinton on Friday, May 3th from 7 PM to 9 PM. The Tour of artists’ studios will be on Saturday, May 4th and Sunday, May 5th from 10 AM to 6 PM. The deadline for entry into the Tour is March 15, 2019. The Tour fee for an individual artist is $125; for a Group Venue is $250. If you enter as an individual artist, your studio will be shown on both virtual and physical maps designed specifically to facilitate the Tour to visitors, you will have your own artist’s page on THAT’s website www.thehunterdonarttour.com, and you have the option of putting a piece in the Hunterdon Art Museum weekend exhibition and sale.
As an alternative, artists may choose to enter the Tour as an EVENT. This is a more economical way to participate in the Tour. A Donation is suggested.
Categories: Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Performance, Film, Video, Ceramics, Glass, Jewelry, Textiles, Other
Group Venues will be shown on both virtual and physical maps and will have a page on THAT’s website. If you are participating in the Tour with other artists at a Destination, and you want the benefits of an Individual Artist, you must enter as an Individual Artist.

HAM is most generously NOT taking and commission for any work sold. If sold, 50% of the price of the work is for the artist, 25% will be given to HAM as a donation, and 25% will be donated back to THAT to help fund the 2019 tour. Unsold works will be returned to the artist.
-

Guest artists living outside Hunterdon County may enter through a friend’s studio or other suitable venue. Guest artists must apply separately from their “host” studio artist.

- 11. Only work that is original and created by the accepted artist is allowed in the Tour.
-
- 12. Artists must be present with their work during tour hours.
-
- 13. Artists are encouraged to have work for sale, although selling is NOT required.
-
- THAT is mindful of the exaggerated influence that the “art world” exerts on shaping what art is regarded as “good” or worthy of attention. There is art that expresses exciting, original ideas right here in our backyard. THAT aims to give these artists greater access to a public eager to explore studios far from venues traditionally intended for art investors.
